BEIJING, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- As ChatGPT of U.S. company OpenAI receives wide attention, Chinese technology companies are recently buzzing with the idea of introducing similar artificial intelligence (AI) services to the market.
Last week, Baidu Inc. announced to launch its AI chatbot named ERNIE Bot in March, after it completes internal testing. Based on deep learning and continuous learning capability, ERNIE Bot will be able to generate human-like conversation upon input.
JD Group is planning to launch ChatJD, which is an intelligent human-machine interaction platform for industrial application, with concentration on retail and finance sectors, according to the company on Feb. 10.
Chinese AI firm iFLYTEK recently said that its AI learning machine, which is expected to be released in May, should be the company's first product equipped with ChatGPT-related technology.
Companies including Alibaba Group, Tencent and NetEase have also sent out the message that ChatGPT-style technology products are on the way, whereas some other companies have said that they will pay close attention to relevant projects, looking for possibilities of future application.
Industry insiders believe that ChatGPT is showing the AI industry a new height of technology development, as well as the business potential of general large models. As tech firms step up their efforts in relevant R&D and promote accelerated integration with downstream application scenes, the vitality of China's AI market should be further stimulated.
