GUANGZHOU, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- The X8186 China-Europe freight train, loaded with food, household appliances, electronic accessories and other goods departed from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) Tuesday and will arrive in Almaty of Kazakhstan in 15 days, reported Southcn.com.
During the Spring Festival, China Railway Guangzhou Group steadily promoted the normalization of the freight train services in Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other cities in GBA, ensuring about operation of two China-Europe freight trains per day, sending about 1,500 TEUs of goods.
It is learned the import and export product categories of China-Europe freight train in GBA are also constantly enriched, and the export of high value-added products such as electronic equipment, machinery and equipment, and new energy vehicles has increased significantly.
Moreover, GBA is also constantly exploring new formats for foreign trade development, and gradually forming a new development model of China-Europe freight train plus Cross-border E-commerce, which will greatly improve the competitiveness of cross-border e-commerce exports in terms of logistics costs, timeliness and procedures, and cultivate new advantages in international economic cooperation competition.
