BEIJING, Jan. 31 (Xinhua) -- Shortly after the Spring Festival holiday, many Chinese provinces and cities such as Shanghai and Zhejiang Province have made improving business environment one of the work priorities this year, aiming to boost economic growth, reported Securities Daily on Tuesday.
For example, east China's Shanghai on January 28 issued an action plan for continuing optimizing business environment. The document proposes 195 measures concerning four areas of deepening reform in key fields, improving supervision services for the whole enterprise life cycle, supporting innovation of key zones, and strengthening organizational guarantee, in a bid to build Shanghai into a model city with great business environment in China and further enhance the international influence of the megacity.
On the same day, east China's Zhejiang province vowed to make breakthroughs in improving business environment this year. To achieve the objective, measures involving creating superior government service environment, law-based climate, market environment, economic ecology, and cultural environment have been rolled out.
Business environment is the soil for economic development and enterprise growth. With implementation of localities' policies for improving business environment that will help stabilize economy, the expectation for a rosy Chinese economic outlook in the first quarter will be enhanced, said Xie Houqin, senior investment consultant with Shaanxi Jufeng investment consultancy Co., Ltd.
