BEIJING, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- French mobile phone brand WIKO on Tuesday officially launched its first smartphone with HarmonyOS ecology WIKO 5G in China, reported Shanghai Securities News Wednesday.
WIKO is a brand controlled by Telling Telecommunication Holding Co., Ltd. (Telling, 000829.SZ), a Chinese tech firm acquiring WIKO mobile phone business in 2021 together with another Chinese firm Dongguan Financial Holdings.
WIKO 5G has a HarmonyOS distributed capability and has been certified by HarmonyOS Connect, a smart hardware ecology developed by Chinese tech giant Huawei.
According to Telling, WIKO's strategic expansion will be officially launched in the Chinese market in 2023, and in the future, WIKO products will be sold in Huawei authorized experience stores and mobile phone stores and on JD.com and other platforms.
Equipped with 5G plus HarmonyOS ecology, WIKO 5G is expected to quickly occupy a share in the domestic smartphone market supported by the HarmonyOS ecological chain, namely HarmonyOS smart home, automobiles, 3C products, etc., and the sales channels of Telling, says the company.
