BEIJING, Dec. 26 (Xinhua) -- Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) China office has recently released two industrial reports at its online event themed "Towards Net Zero Together".
A report, jointly compiled by CDP China and Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), focuses on challenges faced with Hong Kong-listed companies on their journey to net zero.
The other one features opportunities and challenges of sustainable food system transition, sharing the findings of the study on the challenges faced by food-related industries, the key indicators of the CDP questionnaire for the agriculture and food sectors, the impact of climate change on the socio-economic system, and the CDP forest questionnaire framework.
Apart from reports release, the event also included a few sessions, such as opening remarks, keynote speeches, roundtable discussion, and score launch and award ceremony.
Great minds in the industry were invited to deliver keynote speeches on major topics, such as the G20 Transition Finance Framework, environmental Information disclosure, global ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) sustainability trends.

After the keynote speeches, a roundtable discussion themed "ESG and high-quality development" gathered opinions of ESG specialists from WuXi Biologics, Sateri and LONGi Green Energy on the relation between ESG management and high-quality corporate development.
During the event, the organization also presented awards, based on the scores it unveiled in early December, to Chinese enterprises with outstanding environmental disclosure performance.
CDP is an international non-profit organization that runs the global disclosure system for investors, companies, cities, states and regions to manage their environmental impacts. CDP have regional offices and local partners spanning 50 countries. There are now companies, cities, states and regions from over 90 countries disclosing through CDP on an annual basis.
