BEIJING, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- With a demonstration park for circular economy under construction, the city of Laoling in east China's Shandong Province is committed to cultivating a new industrial ecosystem with featured industrial clusters and generating more value of industrial output in the next five years, transforming itself into a model city of advanced manufacturing and food industry development.
In the demonstration park, the second phase of a pharmaceutical industrial park project of Qilu Pharmaceutical Group Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 10 billion yuan (about 1.43 billion U.S. dollars) is in trial production.
Launched in 2022 with an investment of 220 million yuan, a project for high-end drug R&D and production of Shandong Anshun Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd (Anshun) was capped. It is planned that a production line with annual capacity of 100 kilograms of nucleic acid drugs will complete construction by the end of this year, contributing to China's modern biomedical industrialization.
The steady growth of economy not only results from the innovative endeavors made by enterprises, but the service and policy support from the government sectors, said a representative from Anshun, noting that with Laoling's reform and innovation efforts, the construction speed of Anshun's project is granting the company with great confidence.
