BEIJING, Dec. 22 (Xinhua) -- Assets of financial institutions in China mounted up to 413.46 trillion yuan by the end of the third quarter in 2022, up 10.1 percent year on year, reported Xinhua Finance citing data from the People's Bank of China (PBOC) on Tuesday.
Among them, assets of banking institutions grossed 373.88 trillion yuan, up 10.2 percent year on year and assets of securities institutions increased 7.3 percent year on year to 12.87 trillion yuan by the end of September 2022.
For insurance institutions in China, their assets expanded 9.8 percent year on year to 26.71 trillion yuan by the end of the third quarter in 2022.
Total liabilities of financial institutions stood at 376.61 trillion yuan, up 10.3 percent year on year, with those for banking, securities and insurance institutions at 342.94 trillion yuan, 9.68 trillion yuan and 23.98 trillion yuan, up 10.4 percent, six percent and 11.7 percent year on year respectively.
