BEIJING, Dec. 21 (Xinhua) -- Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. Ltd (CATL), a leading lithium-ion battery maker for electric vehicles (EVs) and supplier of energy storage facilities, signed on Tuesday an agreement with Avatr Technology, an emerging electric vehicle maker headquartered in Chongqing, to deepen strategic cooperation, reported the Xinhua-run China Securities Journal.
Based on advanced battery technology, the two sides aim to develop a leading battery supply system for the industry and help Avatr build a series of high-end intelligent EVs.
On the same day, Avatr Technology's first car models, the Avatr 11 and the limited edition Avatr 011, rolled off the assembly line.
