Before Christmas, another carmaker, Volkswagen subsidiary Porsche AG, will be admitted to the DAX stock market index consisting of 40 German blue chip companies.
There are also some changes in the MDAX and SDAX indicel. Due to the inclusion of Porsche AG in the leading index DAX, the sporting goods manufacturer Puma is moving down to the MDAX, displacing the battery manufacturer Varta, which is moving down to the second-tier index SDAX. This was announced by Deutsche Börse.
As a result, online fashion retailer About You will drop out of the SDAX. In addition, real estate company Deutsche Wohnen, which is currently still listed in the MDAX, and bioethanol producer Verbio, which is listed in the SDAX, will swap places.
The changes come into effect on Monday, December 19.
With chip manufacturer Elmos Semiconductor and the subsidiary of the US telecom equipment manufacturer Adtran, Adva (Optical), there are also two newcomers to the SDAX. In return, real estate developer Instone and the specialty pharma supplier and wholesaler Medios are removed from the small cap index.
Apart from Adva and Medios, experts had largely expected the changes in the indices.
