BEIJING, Dec. 19 (Xinhua) -- Renowned Chinese liquor maker Kweichow Moutai took the first place on the 2022 SHUIJIYIN·Hurun China Food Industry Top 100 list released by the Hurun Research Institute December 18, reported Shanghai Securities News.
The ranking is based on the market value or valuation of enterprises, and Kweichow Moutai has retained its position as the most valuable enterprise in China's food industry with a value of 2.4 trillion yuan, with Wuliangye, another famous Chinese liquor maker, and Nongfu Spring, a bottled water giant in China, taking respectively the second and third places.
In the list, the number of enterprises in the liquor sector is still the largest, up to 26, followed by comprehensive food, condiments, soft drinks, agriculture and animal husbandry.
