BEIJING, Dec. 16 (Xinhua) -- Laoling, a city situated in east China's Shandong Province, is striving to build a top-quality city with profound attention on crafting plenty of boutique micro-landscapes.
In the city, "pocket parks", also known as mini-parks, can be seen everywhere. Local people feel explicitly increasing happiness thanks to the convenience and beautiful scenery of mini-parks.
Since opening of the pocket parks nearby, a local citizen called Wang Junming always goes to the parks for walking and physical exercises. For many local people, taking a walk in pocket parks everyday has become their new habit.
Apart from mini-parks, more than 1,000 power distribution boxes in the city have been covered with colorful painting and turned into street scenery together with decorated well covers and wire poles.
