BEIJING, Dec. 1 (Xinhua) -- A batch of goods finished the customs clearance at Haikou Meilan International Airport in Hainan Free Trade Port (FTP) on Wednesday and will be exported to France later, marking the first time for Hainan enterprises to declare export goods through the cross-border e-commerce business-to-business (B2B) direct export mode, reported Chinanews.com.
The goods include clothing and accessories, worth 560,000 yuan and weighing 3.16 tonnes.
The B2B direct export mode conforms to the bulk export demand of cross-border e-commerce enterprises and will save logistics costs to further expand the export business channels of enterprises in the free trade port.
In the next step, the local customs will continue to explore and optimize the cross-border e-commerce export supervision mode, release the policy dividends of Hainan FTP, help cross-border e-commerce enterprises to explore overseas markets, said relevant person in charge of Haikou Meilan International Airport Customs under Haikou Customs.
