BEIJING, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Shanghai's auto exports continued to maintain high-speed growth in the first ten months of this year as Shanghai Customs beefed up efforts to provide a series of refined customs clearance services for automobile exports, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported.
A total of 1.12 million vehicles were exported from the Shanghai port from January to October, with a total value of 150.18 billion yuan, surging 46.8 percent and 71.6 percent year on year respectively.
Among them, electric passenger vehicles have become the highlight of Shanghai's exported vehicles.
The export of electric passenger vehicles via the Shanghai port amounted to 417,000 units during the period, with value totaling 86.2 billion yuan, up 92.5 percent and 115.5 percent respectively. (Edited by Yang Yifan with Xinhua Silk Road, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
