BEIJING, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Jing'an District of east China's Shanghai and Jones Lang LaSalle released a report at the fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE), saying that the district is to build a world-class central business district (CBD).
The report demonstrated the industrial development, resource data and infrastructure of Jing'an, and proposed to build Jing'an as a world-class CBD including Nanjing West Road area, Suzhou Creek area and Middle Ring area.
There are 78 global service enterprises in the district, and global service organizations in the Globalization and World Cities Research Network (GaWC) 175 list accounts for one third of the total in Shanghai. A total of 110 regional headquarters of multinational corporations also settle in the district including 12 trading headquarters and 22 private enterprise headquarters.
After decades of development, 2.6 square kilometers of land in the core area of Nanjing West Road bears 1.3 million square kilometers of A-level office buildings.
Suzhou Creek area has a national-level human resources service industrial park, with rich resources of high-end asset management enterprises and biological and pharmaceutical industry clusters.
Middle Ring area brings together a large number of leading enterprises in the fields of big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence, electronic sports, animation, filming and media. The area is also home to many companies engaged in emerging industries such as digital economy, green development and meta-universe.
