BEIJING, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) – 33 Chinese and foreign enterprises will join hands to build a high-quality cross-border industrial and supply chain ecosystem along the Belt and Road (B&R) countries at the first "Belt and Road" Supply Chain Summit held in Kunming, capital of southwest China's Yunnan province on Sunday, reported Chinanews.com Sunday.
Cai Jin, vice president of China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP), said that as an open and shared digital supply chain cooperation mechanism, the B&R supply chain also demonstrates green, low-carbon, sustainable and safer cross-border supply chain development.
Wang Ming, Director of the Comprehensive Transportation Research Institute of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of China, provided development ideas for the B&R supply chain cooperation, and called on all parties to accelerate the improvement of the organization level of the B&R logistics services, to enhance the cross-border logistics network.
Imre Kovacs, Director of the Rail Cargo Group Hungarian delivered online speech at the summit that the group is looking forward to establishing new logistics partnerships with Chinese enterprises, rail freight hubs and companies engaged in import and export activities in Europe.
