BEIJING, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- China Mineral Resource Group Ltd. signed strategic cooperation agreements with the world's three leading mining giants, including the Anglo-Australian firm Rio Tinto, Brazil's Vale, and Australia's BHP Billiton during the fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE), respectively.
China Mineral Resource Group will carry out strategic cooperation with the three partners in the supply chain of the steel industry and the development of green and low-carbon technologies.
According to the agreement signed by the group and Rio Tinto, the two parties vow to build a stable supply chain for the steel industry, jointly promote carbon reduction in the industry, and strengthen cooperation in the development of mineral resources.
Meanwhile, China Mineral Resources Group and Brazil's Vale will actively explore opportunities for cooperation in the mineral resources industry and supply chains and the development of green and low-carbon technologies and global mineral resources, according to the agreement.
The group will join hands with Australia's BHP Billiton to create, strengthen and deepen strategic partnerships, and jointly explore mutually beneficial and win-win development opportunities in the field of mineral resources.
Formed in July in Xiong’an New Area, north China’s Hebei province, the China Mineral Resources is mainly engaged in non-coal mineral resources mining, mineral selection, and metal ore sales and procurement. (Edited by Jiang Feifan with Xinhua Silk Road, 346129473@qq.com)
