BEIJING, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- A freight train loaded with household appliances and IT products departed from Zhengzhou, Central China's Henan Province Thursday. So far, the number of overseas direct stops of Zhengzhou-run China-Europe freight trains has increased to 20, reported Chinanews.com.
The train, carrying a total of 50 containers and 100 TEUs, will arrive in Novosibirsk of Russia through Erenhot Port in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region after a 11-day trip, which marks a new route of China-Europe freight train from Zhengzhou.
A relevant person in charge of Henan Zhongyu Port Group said that based on Novosibirsk's strong machinery, metal, power and other industries, Russia will expand and deepen bilateral economic and trade exchanges and people-to-people exchanges through China-Europe freight train international logistics channel with Henan.
Since April this year, cross-border freight trains operated by Henan have been uniformly named China-Europe freight train (Zhongyu). Currently, Zhongyu Port Group has built an international logistics network covering more than 140 cities in more than 40 countries with more than 6,000 domestic and foreign partners. .
