BEIJING, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- Baotou Iron and Steel group (Baogang), a major steel producer in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, exported 900,000 tonnes of steel in the first three quarters of 2022.
Baogang's products exported to countries and regions involving in the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) accounted for about 95 percent of the total exports, according to Luo Ke with market development department of international trade branch of marketing center of Bao Gang United Steel (600010.SH) under Baogang.
So far, Baogang has sent out 28,000 tonnes of steel rails to Mongolia, after winning the bid to provide steel rails for Mongolia's Zuunbayan-Khangi railway construction project.
Export destinations of Baogang also include the Republic of Korea, Vietnam, Japan, Saudi Arabia and European countries.
Luo said that Baogang's marketing strategies, which are constantly adjusted to meet international demands, plays a decisive role in driving its exports.
Since the beginning of 2022, the marketing center of Bao Gang United Steel has taken such measures as upgrading after-sales services and promoting Baogang's products to strengthen international cooperation and win global clients' recognition.
