BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- KPMG participated in the China International Import Expo (CIIE) for five consecutive years and planed to be the sixth-time CIIE exhibitor next year, the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News reported.
Huang Feng, partner with KPMG China, introduced that KPMG sets up its largest exhibition in terms of booth area at this year's expo.
Through a multi-screen interactive booth at this year's CIIE, KPMG showcased its profound insights in three professional service areas of auditing, taxation and consulting and shared views about hot topics such as environment, society and governance (ESG), financial technology, digital and intelligent transformation, smart government, automotive technology, life science and health, and new consumption.
The fifth CIIE can be held as scheduled, which not only shows China's determination to expand opening up, but also sends a strong signal of openness, inclusiveness, cooperation and common prosperity to the world, said Tao Kuangchun, chairman of KPMG Asia Pacific and China.
As an important platform for international cooperation and exchanges, the CIIE offers broad opportunities for the development of domestic and foreign enterprises, and provides a connection channel for promoting the development of integrated clusters of China's strategic emerging industries and building up new growth engines centered on new generation of information technology, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, new energy, new materials, high-end equipment, green environmental protection, etc., according to Tao.
Tao noted that KPMG has not only deeply understood the expanding spillover effect of the CIIE platform, but also benefited from China's open and friendly business environment, which enables KPMG to provide quality services to more Chinese and foreign enterprises.
The fifth CIIE runs from Nov. 5 to 10 in China's economic hub Shanghai. (Edited by Yang Yifan with Xinhua Silk Road, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
