BEIJING, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker Aiways Automobiles Co., Ltd. (Aiways) is going to enter the Southeast Asian market, Li Hui, vice president of the company said on Monday in Shanghai.
According to Li, Aiways has prepared to build NEV sales and charging networks in many Southeast Asian countries. The NEV manufacturer has also added certain functions in its electric vehicle models to make them suitable for the tropical environment in Southeast Asia.
Aiways was founded in 2017 and began exporting NEVs to overseas markets in 2020. At present, it has sold NEVs in nearly 20 countries including Germany, France, Belgium and Israel. (Edited by Su Dan with Xinhua Silk Road, sudan@xinhua.org)
