BEIJING, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- German technology giant Heraeus is displaying key environmental protection materials and technologies at the ongoing fifth China International Import Expo (CIIE) in east China's Shanghai, reported the Xinhua-run Shanghai Securities News.
This year marks the fifth time for Heraeus to participate in the CIIE, and the first time for the company to show its presence at the energy, low-carbon and environmental protection technology exhibition area.
The environmental protection-related exhibits of Heraeus include precious metals recycling, high-efficiency photovoltaic cell pastes, power electronic modules in electric vehicles, etc. Among them, the continuous, optical temperature measurement system of Chameleon used in the metallurgical industry is exhibited in Asia for the first time.
In 2022, Heraeus will combine its technological expertise with the growing environmental protection needs of Chinese customers covering such fields as green metallurgy, green mobility, green energy and precious metal recycling, said Jan Rinnert, chairman of the board of managing directors and CEO of Heraeus, adding that with such efforts, Heraeus hopes to work with its customers and industrial peers to help China achieve its climate control goals.
Regarding China as one of the most important markets in the world, Heraeus has signed up for the sixth session of the CIIE, aiming to take advantage of the expo to deepen strategic cooperation with partners from all walks of life, according to Ai Zhouping, president of Heraeus Greater China Regional Headquarters.
