BEIJING, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- A Hanoi-bounded China-Europe freight train loaded with over 580 tonnes of goods such as mushrooms and wormwood worthwhile 52 million yuan departed from west freight yard of Nanyang railway station Saturday, which marks a solid step in the normalization of China-Europe train in Nanyang Wolong Comprehensive Bonded Zone in central China's Henan province, reported local media Dahe.cn.
A relevant person in charge of Wolong Comprehensive Bonded Zone said that since April this year, the zone has established a special working team for China-Europe freight train operation, and actively communicates with ports, railways and other departments. Through strengthening cooperation with a local logistics company, the zone has achieved complementary resource advantages, laying foundation for the normalization of China-Europe trains.
With Wolong Comprehensive Bonded Zone as the carrier, Nanyang City of has successfully opened up a new land channel from Nanyang to ASEAN countries, and concentrated its efforts to build a goods collection center in southwestern part of Henan province for foreign trade exports.
It is learned that in the next step, the Wolong Comprehensive Bonded Zone will make every effort to normalize the operation of 1 to 2 freight trains to Europe, ASEAN, Central Asia and other directions every Saturday. Besides, the city will also apply for Nanyang China-Europe freight train to be included in China's national schedule, so as to improve the level of Nanyang's opening up to the outside world.
