BEIJING, Oct. 24(Xinhua) - Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL), China's largest automotive lithium-ion battery maker, posted net profit growth of 188.42 percent year-on-year in the third quarter of this year.
Net profit attributable to its shareholders in the third quarter of this year surged to 9.424 billion yuan, according to a company filing to the Shenzhen stock exchange.
During the July- September period, the company saw its revenue soar 232.47 percent on year to 97.369 billion yuan.
CATL said its net profit attributable to its shareholders in the first three quarter of this year amounted to 17.592 billion yuan, surging 126.95 percent year on year.
