BEIJING, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- The first self-built intelligent fulfillment center of French cosmetics giant L'Oreal laid the foundation stone Tuesday in Suzhou, east China's Jiangsu Province, reported China Securities Journal Wednesday quoting the company.
On the same day, the L'Oreal Suzhou Plant Healthy Beauty Workshop was officially put into operation.
The L'Oreal Suzhou Intelligent Fulfillment Center is planned to cover 90,000 square meters, and is expected to be put into operation in the fourth quarter of 2023.
Supported by L'Oreal's "beauty makeup technology" transformation strategy, the center will serve as the company's incubator for the Chinese market and the global market, implementing innovative operational solutions to serve retailers and consumers.
The L'Oreal Suzhou Plant Healthy Beauty Workshop covers a total area of 18,000 square meters, with an investment of over 200 million yuan.
It is learned that the L'Oreal Suzhou Plant was built in the Suzhou Industrial Park in 1996. It was the first factory invested by L'Oreal in China. It has been expanded for three times and boasts the largest production amount among factories of L'Oreal in the Asia-Pacific region with a total annual production capacity of more than 1 billion pieces.
