BEIJING, Oct. 10 (Xinhua) -- Guangzhou Customs recently rolled out 48 detailed measures to promote the development of Nansha District in Guangzhou, the capital city of south China's Guangdong province, deepening the comprehensive cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and expanding China's higher-level of opening-up.
Among them, 20 measures were designated to facilitate the convenient flow of people and goods in the bay area. For example, efforts will be made to promote the flow of cross-border scientific research materials, strengthening the diversification of port logistics supervision, improving the operation efficiency of China-Europe freight train services, and facilitating personnel exchanges in the GBA, according to Guangzhou Customs.
Chen Zhen, deputy head of Guangzhou Customs, said that the customs will continue to optimize supervision services in key areas such as cross-border e-commerce, comprehensive bonded business, and the automotive industry. At the same time, Guangzhou customs will set up a return center warehouse for cross-border e-commerce retail imports to further optimize the business conditions of cross-border e-commerce enterprises.
According to the measures, priorities will be given to optimize the business environment to ensure the comprehensive cooperation between Nansha and other parts of GBA. For example, Guangzhou Customs will facilitate customs clearance of drugs and medical devices urgently needed for clinical use in the GBA.
Chen Zhen said that Guangzhou Customs will focus on the innovative development of Nansha District, continue to improve GBA cross-border trade facilitation, and fully support Nansha to deepen comprehensive cooperation among Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao.
