According to Peng Xinlin, project manager of the State Grid Hunan Electric Power Transmission & Transformation Co., Ltd., the construction team worked around the clock and overcame bad weather condition to make sure that the project could be finished on time.
As the first 500-KV substation in western Hunan, it is expected to put in use on October 13. Upon completion, the substation will optimize the 220-KV power grid structure and transmit clean energy such as hydro-power and wind power, advancing Hunan's west-to-east power transmission and guaranteeing the province's power supply.
