HOHHOT, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- On September 22, Hohhot Cultural Tourism Broadcasting and Television Bureau issued 8 boutique themed tourist routes in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region.
The 8 themed tour routes launched this time cover major scenic spots and surrounding cultural tourism resources in Hohhot. Taking Chilechuan grassland as the core, the routes include cultural venues, tourist attractions, internet-famous site. With clear theme and reasonable planning, tourists can enjoy folk craft sites with distinct local characteristics, as well as diverse types of local delicious food.
The routes not only provide tourists with options into history of Hohhot, but present it as a modern industrial city.
Featuring cultural heritage, revolutionary history and lush prairie ecological environments, the routes will provide a glimpse into the culture of Inner Mongolia and Hohhot, the unveiling of these routes was a part of Hohhot's efforts to celebrate China's birthday.
Boasting tourism treasures, Hohhot is regarded with abundant cultural resources. The city has made constant efforts in protecting and developing its historical culture. It has realized achievements in revolutionary cultural inheritance, and seen growth in the tourist economy.
