The German economy grew slightly in the second quarter of the year, according to the latest figures that upgraded an estimate released at the end of July.
Gross domestic product (GDP) rose by 0.1% in the second quarter compared to the previous quarter, the Federal Statistical Office revealed.
In its July first estimate, the Statistical Office said the economy had stagnated in the April to June period, neither growing nor shrinking.
In the first quarter of 2022, Europe's largest economy grew by 0.8%.
"Despite difficult global economic conditions, the German economy held its ground in the first two quarters of 2022," said Georg Thiel, president of the Statistical Office.
