BEIJING, Sept. 16 (Xinhua) -- The 19th China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit scheduled from Sept. 16 to 19 in Nanning, capital of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, will set up boutique exhibitions for the first time to further expand the business opportunities brought by regional cooperation among China, ASEAN countries, as well as the member states of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP).
Specifically, the boutique exhibition area to be established this time will focus on displaying new energy vehicle-related technologies and application scenarios, cross-border e-commerce retail, and e-commerce supporting logistics services, according to Wu Zhengping, director of the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Chinese Ministry of Commerce, said at a press briefing on September 15.
This year's expo, which will be held both online and offline, will see the participation of 1,653 enterprises from countries and regions across the world.
To further consolidate the new opportunities brought about by the RCEP agreement and the construction of the version 3.0 of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, this year's expo will also hold more than 80 related important events and high-level forums to boost the forging of a community with a shared future between China and ASEAN countries, according to Wu Zhengping.
