BEIJING, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- Carrying out 6,379 infrared temperature measurements, 3,390 live inspections and 1,208 drone inspections, State Grid Hunan Electric Power Company Limited had organized multiple rounds of examinations before the Mid-Autumn holiday to ensure power supply.
Measures were taken to prepare for special events and potential emergencies during the holiday. "As the Hunan Provincial Games is set to be held in Yueyang City during the Mid-Autumn holiday, we are conducting inspections and temperature measurements in relevant locations, sparing no effort to support safe and stable operation of the power grid," a representative from the company's Yueyang unit said.
At the same time, the company strengthened its duty system during the holiday, paying special attention to the power facilities of government, hospitals, transportation hubs, media organizations, as well as places with high traffic, such as tourist attractions, shopping malls, airports, railway stations and so on.
State Grid Hunan Electric Power Company Limited also detailed its emergency plans during the holiday, having personnel on 24-hour duty at crucial positions. With 468 emergency repair teams, 4,265 repairmen, 1,056 repair vehicles and 56 generator vehicles on call, the company had been making full efforts to ensure power supply for people in the region to celebrate the traditional Chinese festival.
