BEIJING, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- A China-Europe freight train loaded with papermaking equipment, papermaking additives and other goods departed from Zhengzhou International Hub on Sept. 11, heading towards Ulan-Ude of Russia, reported Chinanews.com.
The train, carrying a total of 50 containers, will arrive in Ulan-Ude through Erenhot Port in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, which marks a new route of China-Europe freight train from Zhengzhou.
According to relevant person in charge of Zhengzhou International Hub Development and Construction Co., Ltd.(ZIH), the goods transported by this train are mainly production equipment for paper machines, which not only help the development of Russia's pulp and paper industry, but also provide a safe, stable and economic trade channel between China and Russia.
The person in charge noted that after nearly ten years of development, the China-Europe freight train in Henan Province has gradually developed into full-chain services including digital train, cold chain train and etc.
Statistics show that the China-Europe freight train Zhengzhou has increased from 13 trips in 2013 to 1,508 ones in 2021, achieving a normalized operation of 16 outbound trains and 18 return trains per week.
