BEIJING, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- The 75040/39 China-Europe freight train carrying 50 40-foot containers departed from international land port of Pingxiang City, East China's Jiangxi Province Monday, which is the first China-Europe train from western Jiangxi area, reported CCTV.com.

Cargoes of this train are mainly baby supplies, shoes and hats, machinery and equipment and other goods. Through the Manzhouli port, the train will arrive in Moscow of Russia after a 15-18 day-trip travelling a journey of about 12,000 kilometers.

It is learned that since the establishment of the land port in west Jiangxi, a number of international cargo lines such as China-Laos freight train and Central Asia cross-border freight train has been launched. The operation of China-Europe freight train marks a new international trade channel between the western Jiangxi and Russia and other European countries.

Compared with road transportation, China-Europe freight train saves cost by about 45 percent and compared with sea freight,  its shortens transportation time by about 25 days, laying a solid foundation for enterprises in western Jiangxi to expand overseas markets.

In recent years, foreign trade partners of western Jiangxi area have expanded to Southeast Asia, West Asia and other countries and regions, helping Jiangxi to form a global industrial ecosystem.
