Blue paper on cross-border e-commerce in Yellow River Basin released in E.China's Qingdao

Abstract : A blue paper on cross-border e-commerce development in the nine Chinese provinces and autonomous regions along the Yellow River was released in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province on August 26 during the Yellow River Basin Cross-border E-commerce Expo 2022.

BEIJING, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- A blue paper on cross-border e-commerce development in the nine Chinese provinces and autonomous regions along the Yellow River was released in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province on August 26 during the Yellow River Basin Cross-border E-commerce Expo 2022.

The blue paper, composed by China Economic Information Service, focuses on the coordinated development of the cross-border e-commerce industry in Shandong, Henan, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Gansu, Qinghai and Sichuan where the Yellow River flows through.

Consisting of 17 chapters, the blue paper includes a general report, special reports for each of the nine provinces and regions, and case analysis.

It sheds light on the latest development, experimental practices and typical cases of the cross-border e-commerce industry in the nine provinces and autonomous regions along the Yellow River. It also summarizes thoughts of all walks of life on the coordinated and high-quality development of the cross-border e-commerce industry in the nine provinces and autonomous regions.

As the blue paper tells, cross-border e-commerce of the nine provinces and autonomous regions has deeply integrated with many industries, leading to an accelerated formation of industrial clusters and fueling the transformation, upgrading and digital development of traditional industries.

The nine provinces and autonomous regions attach great importance to cultivating cross-border e-commerce enterprises and promoting upgrading of traditional industries towards digitalization. Meanwhile, they have stepped up regulatory innovation so as to encourage development of new business formats of cross-border e-commerce, according to the blue paper.

At present, there are 32 cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones in the nine provinces and autonomous regions along the Yellow River, accounting for about one fourth of the total cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zones in China.
