SHANGHAI, Aug. 25 (Xinhua) -- The Shanghai Data Exchange (SDE) on Wednesday launched a new digital asset trading section and saw the first joint issuance by China's sports footwear brand Warrior, Chinese video sharing and streaming platform Bilibili and the bourse itself.
In the joint issuance, Warrior is the creator and issuer of the digital asset and Bilibili serves as the issuing platform, while the SDE responsible for the institution building, asset registration, information disclosure and issuance support.
The digital asset, called "Warrior Design Year One", will be sold for free on Bilibili at 12.00 p.m. on Thursday with total issuance volume of 2022 in six styles. The first 210 users that get the assets can also gain the qualifications for purchasing the limited edition Warrior’s sneakers.
Industry insiders believe that this issuance reflects digital transformation of a time-honored brand, allowing the brand to embrace China's young generation and the metaverse and also contributes to Shanghai’s new model of digital economy.
