August 25, 2022

Abstract : A digital tourism exhibition with the theme of insights into Kazakhstan tourism opened at Beijing Shougang Park Tuesday.

BEIJING, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- A digital tourism exhibition with the theme of insights into Kazakhstan tourism opened at Beijing Shougang Park Tuesday.

This exhibition is co-hosted by Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in China and the ZGC Science Fiction Industry Innovation Center, and supported by the Beijing Municipal Science & Technology Commission and Administrative Commission of Zhongguancun Science Park.

Digital economy has brought new development opportunities for cultural and tourism industries. This exhibition aims to explore the innovative and technological path of China-Kazakh cultural exchanges, and enhance cultural and technological exchanges between the two countries,  thus contributing Belt and Road high-quality development.

At the opening ceremony, Kazakh Ambassador to China Shakhrat Nuryshev pointed out in his speech that Kazakhstan, as a key country supporting the Belt and Road Initiative(BRI), is exploring new paths for digital tourism development and eyeing more Chinese visitors by holding such digital tourism exhibition in Beijing.

Wang Jianxin, an official with the Beijing Science and Technology Commission and the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee, noted that a batch of enterprises have provided their latest technologies and products to support the holding of the exhibition. Audience can enjoy the customs and cultural relics of Kazakhstan without going abroad.

Since July, Kazakhstan introduced a visa-free entry policy for Chinese citizens which enables a 14-day continuous visa-free stay in Kazakhstan for Chinese tourists with business and travel purposes.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Kazakhstan. This digital tourism exhibition is not only a display of the fruitful results of multi-dimensional exchanges between the two nations, but also a brand new attempt in cultural tourism transformation.
