BEIJING, Aug. 24 (Xinhua) -- The operating income of China's environmental protection sector reached 2.18 trillion yuan in 2021, up 11.8 percent year on year, Zou Shoumin, director of the science, technology and finance department of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment told a press conference held on Tuesday.
At present, China has formed an environmental protection industrial system covering the whole industrial chain, including technology research and development, equipment manufacturing, design and implementation, operation and maintenance, investment and comprehensive consultation, etc. of pollution control and ecological restoration, according to Zou.
Meanwhile, the service modes of environmental protection industry are constantly innovating, with third-party pollution control, environmental performance service, environmental stewardship and environmental financial service developing rapidly, said Zou.
