BEIJING, Aug. 23 (Xinhua) -- Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS) announced on Monday that AWS Marketplace starts official support on paid AMI (Amazon Machine Image) products in China, reported China Securities Journal Monday.
AWS Marketplace is a curated digital catalog that makes it easy for customers to discover, procure, entitle, provision, and govern third-party software. It is operated by Ningxia Western Cloud Data Technology Co., Ltd. (NWCD), an operator and provider of AWS China (Ningxia) region cloud services.
With the launch of the service, customers will be able to pay on demand or annually and quickly deploy AMI products via a flexible pricing model. It simplifies the customer purchase process, further improves the user experience of AWS Marketplace in China, and also provides more sales opportunities for independent software vendors.
The first paid AMI products to hit the shelves are from members of the partner network of AWS, including Fortinet, Red Hat, SUSE, TigerGraph, etc.
