BEIJING, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Baogang Group has recently won a bid to provide H-shaped steel product for marine engineering to an oil field project of Offshore Oil Engineering Co., Ltd. under CNOOC Limited.
This is the first time that Baogang Group's structural steel products are officially applied in a marine engineering project, marking a good start for the company to further explore business potentials in applying high-quality steel products to offshore engineering.
Wining the bid also marks a breakthrough in the company's efforts to improve product structure and increase profitability, as offshore engineering projects require the steel products to have high structural strength and good corrosion resistance to withstand the harsh environment in the sea. Mainly used in the construction of offshore oil platform modules, H-shaped steel products are key structural materials for offshore engineering projects.
