BEIJING, Aug. 15 (Xinhua) -- Construction on Hengyang West 500kV power transmission and transformation project, the Hengyang section of Ningxia-Hunan power transmission project, kicked off recently in Hengyang City, central China's Hunan province
The Hengyang West 500kV power transmission and transformation project covers an area of 101.3 mu(about 6.75 hectares) and is scheduled to be put into operation in June 2023.
As one of the supporting projects of Ningxia-Hunan power transmission program, Hengyang West 500 kV power transmission and transformation project has been included into the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025) of the State Grid and Hunan Province. It is a key project of China's national energy supply guarantee project plan.
Upon completion, it will further optimize the power grid structure and improve the power transmission capacity and supply reliability of Hunan power grid.
