BEIJING, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Ceke port, a border port located at Ejina Banner of Alxa League in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, saw coal import surging to more than one million tonnes since its resumption of customs clearance on May 25, according to local authorities of Alxa League.
On Tuesday, semi-trailers loaded with coal passed one after another across the heavy vehicle channels of the port and by adopting container hoisting transport, full-process contactless load transfer for vehicles carrying goods from China and Mongolia is realized at the port.
By now, daily cargo volume of Ceke port, an important trade passage between China and Mongolia, has increased to 31,300 tonnes, with more efficient, smoother and safer customs clearance.
Currently, inspections upon arrival and fast customs clearance are available for entry and exit of freight vehicles at the port, whose inspection station poured lots of efforts to expedite the customs clearance process by resolving the bottlenecks.
For instance, the Ceke entry and exit inspection station launched in-advance personnel information filing and verification, entry and exit certificates checking and collection via electronic lens, and other facilitation measures to ensure the inspection upon arrival and departure after inspection service at the port.
