NANCHANG, July 25 (Xinhua) -- East China's Jiangxi Province saw robust foreign trade growth in the first half of 2022, local customs authorities said on Monday.
According to Nanchang Customs in the provincial capital, Jiangxi's imports and exports grew 40 percent year on year to 319.07 billion yuan (about 47.2 billion U.S. dollars) in the January-June period.
Exports surged 47.3 percent year on year to 247.54 billion yuan, and imports increased 19.3 percent to 71.53 billion yuan, Nanchang Customs said.
During the period, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, the United States and the European Union were Jiangxi's top three trading partners. Trade with the three grew 77.2 percent, 19.8 percent and 33.4 percent, respectively.
Jiangxi's trade with countries along the Belt and Road increased 69.3 percent year on year, and its trade with members of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership was up 60.9 percent.
Local private enterprises recorded strong trade performances from January to June, with their total trade volume up 43.6 percent to account for three-fourths of the province's total.
