According to the project bidding information, CRRC Zhuzhou will provide Kuching City with the production of 38 smart rail trains, which will run on two urban rails with a total length of about 52 kilometers.
The city of Kuching is expected to inject vitality into urban transportation through the smart city trains produced by CRRC, and effectively alleviate the traffic congestion, which is beneficial to strengthening the bilateral economic and trade cooperation between Malaysia and China, according to the official statement of the state of Sarawak.
It is noted that as an innovative intelligent rail transit system, smart rail integrates the advantages of rail transit and public transport, adopts original autonomous guidance and trajectory following technology, and has the characteristics of low investment cost, short construction period and low-carbon environmental protection, and is expected to take the mainstream of the development of future rail transit.
