New China-Europe freight train route launched in Jinhua of East China's Zhejiang province

Abstract : The X8020 China-Europe freight train, carrying 100 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) containers of goods departed from Jinhua South Railway Station Wednesday, heading towards the Netherlands, which marks the first Netherlands-bounded China-Europe freight train from Zhejiang Province as well as the 400th China-Europe freight train launched in Jinhua city this year, reported Chinanews.com.

BEIJING, July 21 (Xinhua) -- The X8020 China-Europe freight train, carrying 100 twenty-foot equivalent unit (TEU) containers of goods departed from Jinhua South Railway Station Wednesday, heading towards the Netherlands, which marks the first Netherlands-bounded China-Europe freight train from Zhejiang Province as well as the 400th China-Europe freight train launched in Jinhua city this year, reported Chinanews.com.

It is learned the train loaded motorcycles, vehicle mounts, synthetic fiber blankets and other commodities produced in Jinhua, with a value of over 3.1 million U.S. dollars. Through Alashankou railway port, the train travels a total of 11,156 kilometers, and is expected to arrive in Venlo in 22 days.

The returning train will carry newsprint, electronic instruments, medical equipment and other goods made in the Netherlands back to Jinhua, realizing two-way operation.

In the first half of this year, a total of 30,368 TEUs were shipped via Jinhua China-Europe freight train service, up 8 percent year-on-year.

Up to now, 22 Jinhua China-Europe freight train routes connect over 120 cities in France, Hungary, Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan and other countries and regions.
