BEIJING, July 15 (Xinhua) -- A China-Europe freight train loaded with 100 twenty-foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) of goods departed from Luzhou of southwest China's Sichuan Province on Wednesday, which marks the third China-Europe freight train handled by Luzhou city and the first special cargo train for local goods in Luzhou, reported people.cn.
Through Kazakhstan and Russia, the train will finally arrive in Minsk, capital of Belarus. It is learned that goods of this train are all chemicals produced by Sichuan Tianyu Oil Chemical Co., Ltd., a local enterprise in Luzhou.
As a key enterprise in oleochemical industry, the products of Sichuan Tianyu Oil Chemical are favored by domestic and foreign markets, and are mainly sold to more than 20 countries and regions such as Russia, Germany, Brazil, India, and Japan.
With the development of China-Europe freight train, more and more "Made in Luzhou" commodities get chance to enter global market. Meanwhile, the China-Europe freight train also brings products from abroad to the local market so as to meet consumers' needs.
Luzhou is an important node city on the Yangtze River Economic Belt and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. It has 7 major platforms for opening-up to the outside world, including the Comprehensive Bonded Zone and China(Sichuan)Pilot Free Trade Zone. The operation of Luzhou China-Europe freight train will further enhance Luzhou as a new highland in Sichuan's inland opening-up.
