BEIJING, June 11 (Xinhua) -- China's major furniture manufacturers reported rising profits in the first four months this year despite disruptions caused by the COVID-19 epidemic, official data showed.
During the January-April period, total profits of major Chinese furniture-making enterprises stood at 10.06 billion yuan (1.5 billion U.S. dollars), up 2.9 percent year on year, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The combined operating revenue of those firms edged down 0.5 percent from a year ago to 233.56 billion yuan, the data shows.
