BEIJING, June 9 (Xinhua) -- Hohhot Tesla center, the U.S. automaker's first store in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, opened for business on Wednesday in the region's capital city Hohhot.
As another major step for Tesla, the company is eyeing for the growing appetite for new energy vehicles (NEVs) in Inner Mongolia and will fast respond to local Tesla owners' needs with direct-sale model and innovative service system, China Securities Journal cited a source with the company as saying.
Next step, the company will further develop and expand its charging network in Inner Mongolia to better assist owners during cross-city travels, the source noted.
Tesla has so far constructed eight supercharging stations, 56 superchargers, 13 destination charging sites and 23 destination chargers in cities across Inner Mongolia such as Hohhot, Baotou, and Erdos.
