BEIJING, June 6 (Xinhua) -- The 19th Hainan International Auto Exhibition and the 7th Hainan International New Energy and Intelligent Vehicle Exhibition concluded on Sunday in Haikou, capital of south China's island province Hainan.
Covering over 60,000 square meters, the four-day event attracted more than 100 auto brands to participate with over 1000 models on display.
In addition, about nine new cars made their debut at the auto show.
In the first half of this year, the overall auto sales were unsatisfactory due to the impact of the COVID-19 epidemic, said Sao Zhi, a sales manager of a local automobile store, adding that since May, Haikou has issued auto consumption coupons, which has effectively stimulated auto consumption.(Edited by Yang Yifan with Xinhua Silk Road, yangyifan@xinhua.org)
