CHENGDU, June 1 (Xinhua) -- A train loaded with auto parts, mechanical equipment, refrigerators and other products worthwhile 40 million yuan pulled out from Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province on May 31st, officially kicking off a new European passage of the China-Europe freight train route originating from Chengdu.
Through Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, the train will arrive at Poti Port in Georgia. Combining marine shipping, road, railway and other transportation methods, the goods will then be distributed to Duisburg, Hamburg, Budapest and others. The whole journey is is about 13,000 kilometers, connecting Romania, Hungary, Poland, Germany and other East and Central European countries and regions.
It is learned that the cargo train provides customized service based on customer needs and achieves entire columns, multiple and single containers booking, so as to meet the transportation needs of different customer groups and expand the mass audience of China-Europe freight trains.
It takes less than two weeks from designing to implementing the transportation plan, realizing the diversification of China-Europe freight train routes, said Zhang Yan, relevant person of DHL China.
