BEIJING, May 26 (Xinhua) -- Some Chinese companies announced on Wednesday that their monkeypox virus nucleic acid detection kits have obtained the CE registration certificate of the European Union (EU), reported Shanghai Securities News Thursday.
These companies include Lepu Medical Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. (Lepu Medical, 300003.SZ), Cofoe Medical Technology Co., Ltd. (Cofoe, 301087.SZ), Beijing Hotgen Biotech Co., Ltd. (Hotgen, 688068.SH), Guangdong Hybribio Biotech Co., Ltd. (Hybribio, 300639.SZ) and DIAN Diagnostics Group Co., Ltd. (DIAN Diagnostics, 300244.SZ).
According to Lepu Medical, the CE registration certificate for monkeypox virus nucleic acid detection products developed by the company has helped enrich the company's IVD (in vitro diagnostic) product line, and guarantee the rapid diagnosis, prevention and control of the virus. The company will continue to input professional research and development (R&D) and innovation power to help care for life around the globe with science and technology.
Hotgen says that the EU CE certification obtained allows the company's products to be sold in EU countries and countries that recognize the certification, which not only enriches the varieties and widens the application fields ofthe company's products, but also actively responds to the needs of overseas markets.
Cofoe says that the permission of selling its monkeypox virus nucleic acid detection products in EU countries and countries that recognize the EU CE certification will further improve the company's product structure in the EU market, which is conducive to its expansion in overseas markets.
In addition to the monkeypox virus nucleic acid detection kits, the COVID-19 antigen detection kits developed by Shenzhen New Industries Biomedical Engineering Co., Ltd. (Snibe, 300832.SZ), Shenzhen Lifotronic Technology Co., Ltd. (Lifotronic, 688389.SH) and Hybribio have also obtained the EU CE certification, according to the companies' announcements.
