BEIJING, May 19 (Xinhua) -- JA Solar (002459.SZ), a leading manufacturer of photovoltaic products in China, plans to invest over 10 billion yuan in expanding its integrated production capacity, reported Shanghai Securities News on Thursday.
The investment is projected to amount to 10.29 billion yuan, accounting for 62.38 percent of its net assets audited recently.
This expansion comprises a 10GW high-efficiency solar cell and 5GW solar module project in Qujing, southwest China's Yunnan Province, and an 11GW high-power solar module renovation and expansion project in Hefei, east China's Anhui Province.
In addition to the above two projects, in the past 12 months, the company has disclosed 18 expansion projects located in Yunnan, Anhui, Jiangsu, Shandong, Inner Mongolia and other places, with a total investment of 6.008 billion yuan.
By the end of 2021, JA Solar's solar module production capacity stood at nearly 40GW and is expected to surpass 50GW by the end of 2022.
